Design Tips for Spot UV

• Spot UV works best with bold, clean shapes and high-contrast layouts.

• Avoid very small text, thin lines, and tight details—Spot UV may not apply cleanly.

• Spot UV is a clear coating, not ink—no gradients or photo effects in the UV layer.

• Great for logos, headlines, patterns, icons, borders, and subtle background textures.

Spot UV areas must be vector objects set to 100% K (Black) only (no CMYK mixes, no gradients).

If you selected Spot UV on both sides, include additional pages:

• Page 3: Back side regular print artwork (CMYK)

• Page 4: Back side Spot UV artwork only (100% K vectors)
